With out question Dave Graham is one of Liverpool’s true King of clubs.

There is not a set of turn tables, a DJ marquee, wedding function, or dance floor at your local bingo hall that this crowd pleaser has not set on fire when he has graced them.

Over his 24 years of introducing us to what the weekend is all about he has been credited with being a key player at some of the landmark events and clubs that have become synonymous with true clubbers of quality house music.

Dave is a humble sort of guy but is passionate about what he does. “The weekend was created for one reason only; to dance, and people have been doing it for decades and decades and decades. The only thing that’s changed is the sound track,” he told us.

Never afraid to introduce new music and even less afraid to drop a party track or even a classic Dave always takes the roof off.

His unique musical format has spanned over two decades of the hot footin’ it generation which has earned him his legend status. Musically he has remained true to what he believes the weekend is all about - enjoying yourselves.

He said: “Too many DJs forget what they are there to do, one should educate not dictate to the crowd. It’s not rocket science; people want a good time and to enjoy the music. It’s that simple.”

So now after a glittering career and becoming club lands most wanted player he has now been entrusted to cut the ribbon on Radio City every Saturday night from 6pm and officially open the weekend for the hottest two-hour show on the radio.

Dave is hot property so why did he choose Radio City? The answer is simple.

“My life has always been about music,” he explained. “Playing at the best parties, the hottest events and coolest gatherings. It’s always been about reaching the best musical audience.

“So when Radio City asked me to take the responsibility to open up the weekend every Saturday night and be at the controls of the ‘Mothership’ I was truly honoured.

“Even to this day I get so excited before we go live to think just how many people Radio City broadcast to and for them to be tuning in and listening to me is like playing to the largest dance floor. I am getting goosebumps even now.”
