"The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded," a statement on the band's website read.
"Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen.
"They release their album Sweet 7 on November 23 through Island Records.
"Keisha Buchanan will continue to record for Island Records as a solo artist."
The group have recently been subject of media speculation after Amelle reportedly went missing two weeks ago.
A report in The Sun claimed she had a disagreement with Keisha after failing to perform at London's Movida nightclub.
Keisha has since defended herself against reports she was the troublemaker of the band.
She tweeted: "I may come across as a hard nut sometimes, but I'm actually really sensitive and it destroys me to think people see me as the longest standing member and assume that I'm the b***h who causes people to walk, and it's totally untrue and unfair."
The group was formed in 1998 by original members Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy.
Heidi replaced Siobhan in 2001 and in 2005 Mutya was replaced by Amelle.
